I have the same problem resizing my array from 8 to 10 TB and I would
not want to use the deprecated utility ext2resize as a workaround.

Here is my log

r...@hive:~# resize2fs /dev/md1
resize2fs 1.41.11 (14-Mar-2010)
Resizing the filesystem on /dev/md1 to 2439379760 (4k) blocks.

resize2fs: Memory allocation failed while trying to resize /dev/md1
Please run 'e2fsck -fy /dev/md1' to fix the filesystem
after the aborted resize operation.

r...@hive:~# e2fsck -f /dev/md1

I checked top and I have plenty of memory free ( > 1 GB ) on the system
before running resize2fs. I am running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Linux hive
2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 28 13:27:30 UTC 2010 i686
GNU/Linux).

Any idea what the progress on this bug is as its 6 months old already
and I would like to utilise my disks sometime soon.
