Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
Now that Feisty Beta is using libata for all ATA disks (both PATA and SATA), the IDE mount points will no longer follow the /dev/hda[n] naming convention and instead will show as /dev/sda[n]. (Assuming I am understanding this correctly: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/libata-for-all-ata-disks ) As a result, Feisty Beta's Ubiquity installer now shows the wrong default values in the Manual Partitioning step whenever it shows /media/hda[n] and instead should show /media/sda[n]. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Ubiquity installer displays /media/hda1 instead of /media/sda1 https://launchpad.net/bugs/95388 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
