it is just a guess, but could the famous flashplugin bug #410407 cause this?
** Description changed: i updated my karmic a few weeks ago to lucid and for roughly 10 days or so my keyboard stops working suddenly every other firefox-session. i minimize the window, open it again and the keyboard works again. my sister is having the same problem, we both use a hp pavillion dv 6000 series computer. i am not completly sure if i use the xorg package, but it is most likely. greetings and thanks for the support, Monika 1) Description: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Release: 10.04 2)apt-cache policy xorg xorg: - Installiert: 1:7.5+5ubuntu1 - Kandidat: 1:7.5+5ubuntu1 - Versions-Tabelle: - *** 1:7.5+5ubuntu1 0 - 500 http://at.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages - 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status + Installiert: 1:7.5+5ubuntu1 + Kandidat: 1:7.5+5ubuntu1 + Versions-Tabelle: + *** 1:7.5+5ubuntu1 0 + 500 http://at.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages + 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: xorg 1:7.5+5ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-22.33-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-22-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia wl Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu May 27 09:39:56 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) Lsusb: - Bus 002 Device 003: ID 045e:0084 Microsoft Corp.
