Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg
I just updated my Lucid_AMD64 with the packages provided by xorg crack pushers.
I found out that there are two wrong dependencies in the package
"xserver-xorg_7.5+6ubuntu1~xorgedgers2~lucid_amd64.deb".
The wrong dependencies are:
xserver-xorg-video-all | xserver-xorg-video-6, xserver-xorg-input-all |
xserver-xorg-input-7
The xserver-xorg-video-* packages in this PPA provide xserver-xorg-video-7 (not
-6)
and the xserver-xorg-input-* packages provide xserver-xorg-input-9 (not -7)
Now the optional depencies xserver-xorg-video-6 and xserver-xorg-input-7 are
thus unmet.
This makes the metapackages xserver-xorg-video-all and xserver-xorg-input-all
obligatory.
They cannot be removed from the system.
Still there is an explanation in those packages, that says:
It does not provide any drivers itself, and may be removed if you wish to only
have certain drivers installed.
The correct dependencies would be:
xserver-xorg-video-all | xserver-xorg-video-7, xserver-xorg-input-all |
xserver-xorg-input-9
** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
