"Have you tried booting with pci=nomsi ?" Nothing in /proc/interupts made it look like msi was being used, but I tried the 'pci=nomsi' thing anyway, no difference.
There is a difference with the 'nomodeset' in there, in that it takes longer for there to be a problem, less likely to be hard locked, the status key on the keyboard changes when I press numlock and 'Sys Rq'+'B' reboots the system. But also on the down side when 'nomodeset' is in there and X becomes unresponsive, it always seems to be that 'Ctl'+'Alt'+'F1' and 'Sys Rq'+'K' have no effect so there is no switching to VT 1 or killing everything in VT 7 and there doesn't seem to be any clues left behind in syslog, Xorg.log or .xsession-errors that really seem like an indicator pointing towards a possible cause. -- Xorg freeze drm radeon 'Faild to schedule IB' https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/588940 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
