Hi! I've got the same problem but also changing configurations in gconf-editor, reinstalling rhythmbox, and removing ubuntumusicstore I didn't fix the problem. Furthermore I noticed some more problem with pulseaudio since last update. Indeed, since headphone output is broken on my laptop I usually use an usb adapter. Well, also using other audio/movie software I cannot listen anything by the adapter since 2 week. Ubuntu doesn't recognize the input (mic) channel of the external adapter, and also switching to adapter hardware ubuntu keep on using laptop speakers.....Could the problem be related to pulseaudio?
