I have a similar issue here. USB mouse (MS Notebook Optical Mouse) stops working after a while (less than a minute after starting to use it, typically). Unplugging and reconnecting doesn't change anything (Mouse still doesn't work).
When i boot with kernel options "noapic acpi=off" this doesn't happen.
