no i am not under a proxy server to fix this problem i used the option of international server in the manage reositories option in adept package manager. the proper update was performed without any error reports. since i have changed my repositories i can not send you my older source.listbut i can switch back to the older server and give you that source.list..i have attached it in the mail... maybe this helps solve the problem on the server for india
