I kept a partition with lucid hoping this would get fixed but just wiped
it and installed maverick Alpha 1 + all updated (through tonight)
bringing it to kernel 2.6.34-5. Sadly I still can't connect with either
of the WPA2 wireless access points I commonly use.

Does anyone know what (if anything) is different WRT the RT2860 driver
in maverick vs. the backports? Seems that the newer kernels (at least in
maverick) do not solve my problem.

BTW, both APs work just fine with karmic on the same hardware (eeepc
901).
