I searched for that "Fix corelog..." line and found
http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/d/devmapper/devmapper_1.02.08-1/changelog
Dunno why I did not find that page when googling for the problem in the
first place. It seems like this bug was fixed back in August already in
debian:
* New upstream version.
- Fix corelog segment line. (closes: #376283)

The only thing I miss now, is a libdevmapper1.02-08 for edgy as this a show
stopper bug for edgy which should be fixed (all it needs is a new package for
edgy which is already included in feisty).
I tested this myself and just moved all the physical extents of a test
lv using a self built libdevmapper1.02.08-1ubuntu5 (just downloaded the
feisty sources and built it for my edgy). You can't use the feisty debs
directly because feisty seems to be using a different libc version.
So yes, it seems to be that one in upstream.
