Bug still exists in 10.04 on my MacBook 4,1.
To be honest, I can't really remember when it became apparent (I wasn't
paying too much attention, and was using a USB keyboard), so I can't
confirm the bug is caused by installing the Broadcom STA driver, but the
symptoms (most keys on the internal MacBook keyboard don't even generate
events in xev) match, and the resolution (remove
/home/<username>/.gconf/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/host-<hostname>/0
and
/home/<username>/.gconf/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/host-<hostname>/0/%gconf.xml)
works as well.
