As a point of irony, I was notified by Notify-OSD immediately upon receipt of the emails about this bug. I wasn't for the last few bugs I reported, though, less than a half-hour ago with basically the same apps open.
I was playing a song in Totem (not full-screened) when I received the emails which I wasn't notified about, if that helps.
