for anyone else seeing this, yes you can work around by alt-click-drag the dialog up beyond the top of the screen, then right-click resize dialog downward, but even that procedure is fraught with trouble. Sometimes the window manager is too helpful and tries to help you resize the dialog horizontally and not vertically. ALSO you have to alt-click drag the dialog back down to reach the top again.
It would be SO much easier if Evolution (and other panels with large numbers of options) added scroll bars when the contents are too small to fit the dialog. It's very nice that the Ubuntu Netbook Edition packagers added the "smarts" so maximus knows not to maximize Evolution's dialogs, but apparently it can't get in there and make the insides more visible. Or could it? -- [ubuntu lucid] evolution dialogs do not fit on netbook screens https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/559459 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
