Actually yes: I have first installed dovecot-common, then started to edit dovecot.conf, and then realized that I need to install dovecot-imapd, and got this error... Now I see that in addition to the "protocols =imap" line I uncommented, another "protocols=" has appeared. To the best of my memory I didn't do that!
I don't know what would prevent this problem from occuring, probably default configuration of dovecot that works, but anyway, you can probably close this bug.
