Okay, next thing to try is a model quirk. To do that, open /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and add the following line: options snd-hda-intel model=acer
...and reboot. If it still does not work, try replacing "model=acer" with "model=acer-dmic" or "model=acer-aspire".
