I can confirm that this issue not only effects my machine, but also my mums and my girlfriends (both of which use Karmic - not Lucid). So this issue is not just limited to a specific machine, nor a specific distribution. It is pretty random, sometimes it'll do it twice in 10 boots, others it'll do it once in 30.
I have checked the xsession error log and there is nothing related to the failure to load after startup. Nor is there anything in dmesg that could be related from what I can tell. If there is any other information I can provide that could be relevant then I'd be happy to help. I am using the default repos version of docky and not a ppa. I never experienced this issue using gnome-do on Jaunty, but from current experience I'm surprised that this hasn't been documented more, as I'd put money on the fact that there is some issue stopping docky from running. Is there no chance that there could be some issue with runtime levels? -- Docky fails to launch during startup approximately 1 in every 10 boots. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/592180 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
