Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
clicking via tap or hardware-button only works occasionally, often the mouse will hang in a pressed-state. Loading module synaptics_i2c got rid of this behaviour temporarily, but now the issue is back, even though synaptics_i2c is still loaded. Several days before the issue came up, I installed the package 'gpointing-device-properties' and enabled two-finger- and circular scroll, which did not work for me - the touchpad just kept working as before for some days, until this came up. Disabling the above features and uninstalling gpointing-device- properties has not helped. After reinstalling, gpointing-device-properties does not list the touchpad any more. Any clues? :) Richard ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: xorg 1:7.5+5ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-22.36-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-22-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Architecture: amd64 Date: Sat Jun 12 23:16:43 2010 DkmsStatus: fglrx, 8.723.1, 2.6.32-22-generic, x86_64: installed fglrx, 8.723.1, 2.6.31-21-generic, x86_64: installed MachineType: TOSHIBA EQUIUM A300D ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-22-generic root=UUID=12ecee25-449d-486d-90e6-a5c3cc84a74d ro quiet splash ProcEnviron: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: xorg Symptom: display dmi.bios.date: 07/09/2008 dmi.bios.vendor: TOSHIBA dmi.bios.version: V1.90 dmi.board.name: EQUIUM A300D dmi.board.vendor: TOSHIBA dmi.board.version: Not Applicable dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Tag dmi.chassis.type: 1 dmi.chassis.vendor: TOSHIBA dmi.chassis.version: N/A dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnTOSHIBA:bvrV1.90:bd07/09/2008:svnTOSHIBA:pnEQUIUMA300D:pvrPSAKAE-003003KS:rvnTOSHIBA:rnEQUIUMA300D:rvrNotApplicable:cvnTOSHIBA:ct1:cvrN/A: dmi.product.name: EQUIUM A300D dmi.product.version: PSAKAE-003003KS dmi.sys.vendor: TOSHIBA system: distro: Ubuntu codename: lucid architecture: x86_64 kernel: 2.6.32-22-generic ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug lucid -- synaptics touchpad clicks working erratically https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/593080 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
