Headphones not working for Karmic (9.10) 64-bit on a Dell Studio XPS but speakers are working.
I´ve played with the pulseaudio volume control, turning on and off the various devices and trying lots of combinations - no joy with any. I've got the backports installed - all of them for 2.6.31-22. Still no headphones. I've added the following to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf: alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel options snd-hda-intel model=del-m6 options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1 But this didn't do anything that I could tell. Aplay -l sez.... card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: STAC92xx Analog [STAC92xx Analog] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: HDMI [HDA ATI HDMI], device 3: ATI HDMI [ATI HDMI] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 Looks like the fix reported by Pablo (#16, above) is for linux-alsa- driver-modules-2.6.32-22-generic. This isn't available in the normal channel - e.g., using Synaptic since the current Linux version is 2.6.31-22 for Karmic. -- Headphones do not work, built-in speakers do https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/374915 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
