Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

Network-manager stopped working after reboot when wireless was off.
Numerous reboots later, I still get

I can reboot into windoze, and wifi works fine. I installed wicd, which works
fine. Removed network manager. Too bad, I really like network manager better.

Ubuntu 10.4
