Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox
When I increase the volume above about 75 percent the sound level drops to
zero. Sound Preferences, Hardware then shows nothing. (The hardware has
disappeared!) The fix is to completely restart the computer. Normally, the
Sound Preferences will show the following Hardware on this ASROCK 775 Dual-VSTA
motherboard:
VT1708/A [Azalia HDAC] (VIA High Definition Audio Controller) 1 output, 1
input, Analog Stereo Duplex.
This is Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, the Lucid LynxUbuntu 10.04 with all updates as of
June 14, 2010.
It happens in Totem Movie Player 2.30.2 while playing any music track. (flac)
This does not happen on Ubuntu 9.10.
Thanks.
