Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu: New

Bug description:
Binary package hint: debian-installer

I wrote the 10.04 LTS upgrade iso to a dvd and ran it and got this
error.It stopped at the Setting new software channels protion of the
upgrade.  I selected both run from cd and start package manager but they
had the same error.
