Public bug reported:

I thought I'd have a go at migrating from my current system (Fedora Core
6) to the Feisty beta. The plan was the usual one for moving between
distros: keep /home and blat everything else.

The problem I've hit is that I'm using LVM which Feisty doesn't seem to
recognise. It sees a partition allocated to LVM during the installation
routine, but doesn't seem to give me the ability to select which logical
volumes to use for which filesystems and what to keep. (It does give me
the option of setting up a new volume group etc., which would presumably
overwrite the old one).

This issue occurs in the partitioning component of the installation
routine on the Feisty beta.

I'd like something in the Ubuntu install which recognises that I'm
upgrading a system installed on LVM and asks me where I'd like to mount
the different logical volume filesystems, as is the case for a normally
partitioned system.
