Xorg 1.8 has it. Alberto already told me on IRC that he would sponsor the debdiff I attached, and the reason he and I added explanatory text to the bug is so that the Stable Release Updates team knows what's going on and will approve it when he uploads it. Don't worry, the patch'll get in. It's just going through bureaucracy right now ;-)
