Hi Mathias, Not as far as I was aware.
Thunderbird and Chrome were the only apps running at the time. A similar problem occurred when I upgraded from Karmic to Lucid, but a reboot sorted the issue. I had to manually remove my MySQL directory from /etc before I could remove the package via apt-get --remove. Prior to me doing this, the upgrade kept freezing on trying to replace MySQL.
