Yes.  I do still have the problem.  As far as I can tell, it seems to be 
relavent 
to the client side.  Here's why I believe that . . .

I use Ubuntu Edgy as my server.  When I connect to it via SSH from a Ubuntu 
box, I 
frequently encounter the issue (at least it did from Ubuntu on my laptop, I 
haven't tried it lately from my desktop).  But, if I use Putty via Windows, the 
problem seems to be far less frequent.  I do lose a connection on Putty 
regularly. 
  But, the difference is that it usually doesn't follow sending data.  It 
happens 
while idle.

I don't know if there is anything that I can do to reproduce it.  It
seems random.
