I too have upgraded to KDE 4.5.0 beta 2 and found the issue has gone
away; I suspect that's because Mark and I have picked up a newer version
of the libsoprano package and that the issues that we were seeing were
due to interoperability issues between KDE 4.4.4 in PPA and libsoprano
in the Ubuntu repositories.

Of course I've traded that problem for a massive memory leak in plasma-
