I think that the fact that all those strings are translatable shows that they are indended for human users and should be translated in human-readable and understandable form. If your script makes any assumptions about verbatim output text in current system locale, that script should be discarded as obsolete and incompatible with locale mechanism. If you think that those strings should not be translated, submit corresponding bug for net-tools or wherever package it is in, and have discussion with its developers, convincing them to hardcode those strings. Because strings are not getting localizable by magic, we can assume it was a consient decision, and do our work.
