I found the same bug reported against the same version 3.2.1 in Debian http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=580806
Debian sid has the 3.3.1 version packaged, so I presume it will be in the lucid+1 repository. I am eager to test the new version to see if this is fixed. I am finding that after I have successfully launched linphone using the command line, it works perfectly when launched from GNOME, as long as I don't attempt to turn on the webcam feature. I presume the cli versions successfully write whatever linphone needs in the user directory and the GUI can launch. I used linphone when traveling in Europe recently and did not have a problem with it. (Twinkle is fine, but unfortunately it doesn't have a dtmf numeric keypad so I can't use it to retrieve my voice mail, and also its dialogs are too tall to use easily on my netbook. I just added linphone-3 to the maximus exclusion list using gconf-editor, and I find it much more netbook-compatible than twinkle.) ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #580806 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=580806 ** Also affects: linphone (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=580806 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- Linphone-3 + Webcam = crash on startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/582268 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
