This may be related to the 'nobrl' option being needed by OOo in mounting CIFS shares and bug 578402 about crashes on launch with a smb share that was deemed a dupe of another bug related to file locking. It does express differently in Lucid than it did in Karmic but has been seen before.
You might try using the 'nobrl' and 'nounix' options if mounting as CIFS to see if that makes any difference. Or you can use nautilus network places to mount the share via fuse and see if that works. If either of those improves things, you've locate the problem as one in common with the other nuisances. Ubuntu is using the GoOO variant as I understand it. If it behaves differently in this problem than the 'original', that could be useful information, too, I'd think. Since it's been around for a while and is rather fuzzy, it must be a challenge to locate and fix properly. -- Ooo creates new file at each saving action only on Samba shares https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/595121 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
