Public bug reported:

1. Download and burn ISO image.
2. Verify checksum.
3. Insert LiveCD and boot computer. Menu appears.
4. Select either default graphics, safe mode, or any resolution.
5. Select option 1 to boot from CD. Splash screen appears. Progress
indicator moves back and forth for 5-10 minutes, with occasional CD or HD
activity taking place. Screen eventually changes to log of errors that startup
is apparently encountering.

Notes: I've been using LTS 6.06 since it came out on this computer
without problems. However, the graphics have always been garbled with
Edgy and each pre-release version of Feisty. This version (7.04) is
different in that it crashes instead of loading a desktop with a
scrambled display.

This is a Acer Travelmate 8204 with an ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 video
card.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
