Hey Julien, I currently don't have a LXDE installation, so I can't really test. But do these applications support a monochrome tray icon? You'll notice that the monochrome icons in Ubuntu usually have "-panel" appended to the icon name. And if they don't, its because that icon only appears in the panel.
