Confirmed I also lose admin privileges for mounting external drives and flash media. Sounds like we both have the same bug. Our systems are significantly different too so this is definitely not hardware specific. I am running a year old core i7 desktop. The only possible option could be if my on board sound uses a similar driver to your laptop or if we are both using the latest nvidia driver. Can you post your sound specs and let me know if you're using the nvidia driver?
