Giorgi Maghlakelidze [DrAcid]: Solution 93 allowed me to use my touchpad again, but it didn't really fixed the whole problem, because when I use on/off button for the touch pad, my touchpad mouse crashes, external usb mouse stops clicking, and keyboard starts to malfunction. This is triggered when I press on/off button for HP laptop touch-pad. If to be honest, I'm sure that this solution:
gconftool-2 --set --type boolean /desktop/gnome/peripherals/touchpad/touchpad_enabled true is not the cause of the problem. There is something deeper, maybe related to the new kernel, because on ubuntu 10.04 final release first install everything worked fine as far as i remember. After few kernel and other updates this bug kicked in. -- [10.04] Touchpad stops working after login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/549727 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
