Now way: still the same problem. And here's to you. There are two "dmesg" coming from two differents boot: one with "blacklist vga16fb" in the command line and another with the very same, but coded in blacklist.conf.
I noticed two other things: 1) It's not the command "lshw -c display" itself to make things work: even "dmesg > dmesg.txt" get mouse pointer back; 2) It's the last kernel and the last xserver-xorg update coupled together to mess up the pointer. I mean: this computer lived well with 2.6.32-23 alone, but it was the latest xserver-xorg released two days ago to make things bad. Proof of the pudding is that everything is fine with 2.6.32-22 kernel. ** Attachment added: "dmesg_blacklist_from_blacklist.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/50559378/dmesg_blacklist_from_blacklist.txt -- Mouse pointer invisible after upgrading to 2:2.9.1-3ubuntu5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/595282 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
