what giant binary object? where?

chromium in ubuntu is built completely from sources.
the source package contains an embedded .tar.lzma file to reduce its size, and 
the time and network resources to upload it to the builders.

tar.lzma is just a compressed archive, similar to tar.bz2, tar.gz, zip, ..
it's a common practice to embedded a compressed tarball within the source 
tarball, we do that for most big packages like firefox and openoffice.
