Hello. I'm also getting a beep every time I Shutdown my laptop, or when
I'm on a command line (like ctrl+alt+f2) , and I press tab or the
left/right arrow keys, I hear the same beep.

I think this is the same issue, related to the system beep. I've tried
rmmod pcspkr, blacklist pcspkr, xset b off, and xset b 0 0 0 with no
luck. If the problem really is system beep, it would be great turning it
off :) how can I do that on Lucid?

My laptop is a HP dv6t quad i7 (dv6t-2000 model)
Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx LTS

P.S.:Just in case it helps: I've recently updated this laptop's BIOS from F.1A
to F.1B revA
Regards
