Public bug reported: When I launch nm-con-mgr, all buttons, tabs are not responsive, no connections entries for Wired are listed. stderr shows this: ** Message: secret service operation failed: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. ** Message: secret service operation failed: Did not receive a reply. After a while, buttons are responsive and connection entries are available. However, when I edit or delete an entry, same lock-up happens and I get this on stderr: * Message: secret service operation failed: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. ** (nm-connection-editor:4897): WARNING **: Invalid connection (empty) ** (nm-connection-editor:4897): WARNING **: <WARN> nma_gconf_connection_new(): No connection read from GConf at /system/networking/connections/1. Rest of my system is working. THe only unusual thing about this out-of- the box laptop install is that I use nss_ldap and pam_krb5 for auth & lookup.
