Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
Ubuntu server guide on https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/serverguide/C/NTP.html mentions a cronjob to adjust daily time with ubuntu's ntp servers. The one-liner used is ntpdate ntp.ubuntu.com I suggest we use the "-s" option, to divert the output from stdout to the system log as it should. Same for the secondary one-liner ntpdate ntp.ubuntu.com pool.ntp.org ** Affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ntpdate cronjob should use an option "-s" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/597043 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
