Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-bluetooth
This bug was apparently present in Karmic as well (bug #429523), but as this is occurring on Maverick I thought I should report a new bug. When starting bluetooth-wizard or bluetooth-properties the application fails to launcher with an "assertion failure". Below is what I see in the terminal: $ bluetooth-wizard (bluetooth-wizard:4352): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: cannot register existing type `BluetoothClient' (bluetooth-wizard:4352): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed I don't know if there are any other debugging tools I can use. I'll try to get a trace w/ gdb. If I turn off bluetooth I do get a dialog, but of course it just tells me there are no bluetooth adapters present.
