Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

On Saturday, March 24th, I upgraded to feisty from edgy. In doing this,
my D-Link Airplus DWL wireless card was recognized and with a little
work, I was able to connect to my house's static wireless network.
Today, Sunday March 25th, after upgrading my system with 53 updates,
including an update to network-manager, when I opened Network (under
system-administration), I no longer had a wireless connection (reduced
to only a wired connection and Modem).

I really liked the previous update I had had on the 24th. It worked
flawlessly with my wireless card.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
