Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz-fusion-plugins-extra

Ubuntu release: Lucid
Package version: compiz-fusion-plugins-extra 0.8.4-0ubuntu2

Steps to reproduce:
1. Activate Scale using the shortkeys (default is <super>w)
2. Begin typing to filter the windows by title.

Expected behaviour:
Text appearing in the middle of the screen and windows being filtered.

Actual behaviour:
Most of the time nothing happens. Sometimes one letter appears and the windows
do get filtered, but just filtered by that one letter. And in very rare cases
it works for more then one letter, but mostly you won't be able to type more
then five letters.

I added my configuration files for the extra information that could be
needed. There's a flatfile version and some gconfig one, I don't really
know the difference between them but Compiz gave multiple ways of saving
the configs so I just did two of them.

I'm willing to give extra information if needed.
