I think I know why we're getting this error message, but I don't know
how to fix it. I was installing Mint Linux 9 on my computer, and during
the setup I chose to delete the whole hard drive and install linux on
the entire disk. I have one 320GB IDE hard drive, but on the screen the
setup program reported that it is a SCSI drive. That's incorrect! This
is not an SCSI drive. If grub is trying to look for a SCSI drive on my
computer, then it won't find it. I just installed Mint Linux, and I
restarted my computer for the first time, and I get this error message:
