This is a problem with the deb script running wget -- wget does not honor apt's proxy configuration settings, and instead uses the environment variable http_proxy and https_proxy to determine whether and what proxy to use.
I'm not sure if Debs are intelligent enough, but perhaps it's possible for the apt system to provide proxy information to script within .deb packages -- such that they can query for proxy, and then configure the environment that the .deb installer script runs in with http_proxy info provided by apt? -- package flashplugin-installer 10.0.22.87ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade over proxy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362970 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
