I have a Thinkpad T60 with an ATI video card. It is mounted to a mini-
dock and attached to it is a 19" widescreen LG monitor. For me, adding
"radeon.modeset=0" to the settings passed to the kernel in grub, took
away the waves on my external monitor and allowed me to use Compiz
again. When Lucid first came out, that trick didn't work. This is a nice
development.
