Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox
Hi,
This is my first bug report so I'm sure I'm going to miss some important
info, but away I go.
Firefox seems to be having trouble with certain Flash sites. Flash
seems to be acting erradically. In some circumstances, like when
viewing Youtube, the sound will just disappear. Closing Firefox seems
to work at first until I try to restart Firefox. I receive the message
that an instance of Firefox is still running. After further inspection
the offending file seems to be firefox-bin. The only way I know to
resolve this (as I'm a newbie to Ubuntu/Linux) is to restart my system.
In other circumstances, like when visiting Hulu, Firefox freezes up
entirely and requires a Force Quit.
This only seems to have begun over the last week or two. I've recently
(since experiencing problems) run System Update and the problem
persists. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.
Firefox v. 3.6.3
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS NBR
HP mini-110
Thanks,
Andy
