I noticed that linux mint has kernel 2.6.32-21-generic with
alsa-driver-modules for same maybe is why mic is working, but internal speaker
still has no sound. Im dual booting them incase u want me to try something
different on each. I was wondering if the alc888 being on an Nvidia chipset
(MCP79) has anything to do with it.
I tried a couple models of like chipsets - like "options snd-hda-intel
model=imac91" & others with mcp79 but no luck, also tried comenting out all the
other "options" w/ same results.
Let me know if theres a model or option you think I should try, I'll try
on both kernels/installs.
