Thanks for the idea Gaea, however the instructions for the ipod shuffle didn't have any effect. Does anyone know if there is a way to revert to an earlier version of udev so I can alter the playlist on my ipod? It mounted fine under Karmic Koala and earlier and only stopped when I upgraded the OS to Lucid Lynx. It's now been 2 months since I have been able to change the playlist on my ipod and I would REALLY like to get some new songs on there to listen to.
