Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: synaptic
Immediately when selecting a package it seg faults. Did a strace which
is attached. At the end of the trace I copied the contents of the I
suspect is causing the problem.
Awkward workaround:
renamed file /var/lib/apt/lists/archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_lucid_Release to
/var/lib/apt/lists/archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_lucid_Release.hold
and it works o.k.
