Note to everyone posting here, the '[cups-driverd] Bad driver information file "/usr/share/cups/drv/sample.drv"' does not prevent printers from working or CUPS from executing jobs. It only tells that CUPS is not able to generate PPD files from the /usr/share/cups/drv/sample.drv and this is only relevant for creating a new print queue and there also for a small selection of printers. All printers mentioned here do not depend on /usr/share/cups/drv/sample.drv.
Please create an error_log in debugging mode as described in the "CUPS error_log" section on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems. Then you will see that the mentioned error does not occur during execution of your print job. Please create a new bug report for your problem. ** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- [cups-driverd] Bad driver information file "/usr/share/cups/drv/sample.drv"! https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/434564 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
