RussianNeuroMancer, can you please plug in the printer and turn it on,
then check the following:
Does a screen notification about firmware or a plug-in show up? Does a
utility show up to download a plug-in for HPLIP?
Can you run the following commands in a terminal window and post the
output here:
lsusb
ls -l /dev/usb/lp* /dev/bus/usb/*/*
sudo usb_printerid /dev/usb/lp0
sudo usb_printerid /dev/usb/lp1
sudo usb_printerid /dev/usb/lp2
/usr/lib/cups/backend/hp
sudo /usr/lib/cups/backend/hp
lpinfo -v
Can you also attach the PPD files in /etc/cups/ppd/?
Please do not compress or tar together any attachments. Please make one
posting for each attachment.
